I have been asked many times how I got into soap making. How I started Panna Soaps. It’s not your typical story. In 2014, I actually had a vision about myself making soap. I guess you could call it a dream, one that I have been busy making come true ever since.
I had been suffering from depression after two tragic losses in my family, and early on soap making was one way to escape from reality. The soaps gave me so much more than I had ever dreamed of though. Soap making has provided me with new goals, new friends, alot of love from people who enjoy my product and realizing the truth that no matter what the circumstance, life it is beautiful.
My name is Anna. I am a Hungarian, Christchurch-based soap maker since 2014, specialising in natural vegan soaps. The name ‘Panna’ is a Hungarian nickname for Anna, which was given to me when I was a little girl.
All my soaps are handcrafted in small batches and made with the cold process method with non-GMO ingredients and no artificial preservatives. All bars are scented with pure essential oils that provide a nice subtle aromatherapy experience as you bath or shower. The colours come from natural ingredients like clays, herbs, coffee, cocoa powder, spices.
I don’t use palm oil at all. If you don’t know the issue please check it out.
As Panna Soaps are natural soaps I recommend using them within 12 months of purchase. Although they will not go off after that time, you may notice some changes. Some natural colours and the scents from pure essential oils may fade over time.
Thank you for using Panna Soaps.
